Last Sunday, at Dougherty Art Center, in Austin, we participated in a special event of Planet Music: Eastern European music, featuring Slavadillo and VaNa MaZi with dance lessons by Austin International Folk Dancers. We received the invitation from Genevieve Kent, one of the nicest Austinite friends of ours, whom we are thankful for the great afternoon.

Pictures below provide a taste of small pieces, „mozaic cubes” of a very special so-called Eastern European culture. Sunday afternoon, Dougherty Art Center was a meeting point of talented American musicians and Greek-Turkish-Italian-Bulgarian-Gypsy-Russian-Macedonian songs and dancemusic; Michael "Misi" Tsurikov, winner of the 2012 Texas Dance Award, who coordinated the dance teaching for the event and many enthusiast dancers. Every one brought his or her taste for fun and curiosity about other cultures. We kept dancing and did not realize how fast time flew!
